I have grown and learned a great amount about how to be a purposeful, powerful, and effective teacher. A bit of what makes my major unique is the dual sides of it. To one side I have full education classes and major requirements, as well as SCSA classes and major requirements.

I have never enjoyed anything more than my major. It is truly my calling and my truest passion to learn about art and share it with other people.

Being an artist who teaches is a unique and fulfilling role. Initially, I saw myself solely as a teacher, but as I progressed through my courses, I rekindled my passion for art and embraced the idea of being an artist. 

What makes art education unique compared to other majors is our ability as teachers to nurture creativity and passion for art. Whether developing lesson plans or creating art projects, every effort is worthwhile because we're shaping the artists of tomorrow.
