Bio

Zac Benson is an international artist who has exhibited in Taiwan, Bulgaria, and throughout the United States. He has completed public commissions in Australia, California, New York, and Washington, D.C. through his studio, Benson Sculpture, which he founded to focus on large-scale public works. His gallery practice explores the relationship between his personal faith and beliefs and his engagement with society, while his public sculptures investigate the traditional relationship of scale and form.

He is also the Founder and CEO of The Life Jacket Project, a non-profit organization that uses art to encourage and uplift individuals facing severe challenges.

Benson earned his B.F.A. in Sculpture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2011, and his M.F.A. in Studio Art from the University of Maryland in 2017. He is currently an Associate Professor of Studio Art at Anderson University, where he teaches sculpture and ceramics.
