How does my work live outside the class?

We have a ton of opportunities to take our work beyond the screen and/or classroom, whether that be through resources that allow us to physically produce a wide variety of projects or through exhibitions that give us chances to show off our work externally.

💬
Are the professors legit?

All of our professors are active professionals in their fields, which makes their advice extra helpful and applicable because they are speaking from experience rather than theory. And yes, they are legit.

What is the studio atmosphere like?

The studio atmosphere is like a welcoming community. In studios, you’ll always find students working together, getting to know one another, and challenging one another creatively.

💬
Will I be boxed in, creatively?

Each of our programs requires you to take classes outside of your area of study, so that your artistic practice is as interdisciplinary as possible! This means that your work expands beyond the studio, giving you the freedom to explore multiple forms of creative expression!

How often will I get to collaborate with my classmates?

We get to collaborate with our classmates, both making work and developing our own work by learning from one another in group critiques. It is great to get to work alongside other passionate creatives who are eager to encourage and challenge one another.

What is the workload like?

The workload is rigorous but not for no reason. Being challenged gives us lots of opportunities for growth while preparing us well for the professional world post-grad.

One-on-one mentorship, getting to know us personally, listening to our ideas and processes, encouraging and challenging us in our work and lives. As practicing artists, designers, and scholars, they nurture our creative growth through an informed perspective inside and outside of the classroom.
